If I’m closing on a house, what inspections will I likely need?

Typically, each house in South Florida will likely need about three different inspections. A general home inspection, a wind mitigation inspection and a wood destroying organism inspection. The general home inspection gives the client peace of mind. The wind mitigation inspection is for the insurance companies to determine if they will insure a property, while the wood destroying organism inspection is for the mortgage company to see if the home is worth the risk. Other inspections may be needed depending on the property and insurance company.
